Full Day Canoe & Kayak Hire
(CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO RIVER ACCESS ISSUES)
A full day canoe or kayak hire trips will see you starting from the small village of Glasbury-on-Wye, paddling approximately 10 miles downstream to Whitney-on-Wye.
Your day will begin by arriving at our Canoe Hire Centre, where we will sign you in and equip you with a buoyancy aid & paddle. Once you and your group are ready, you will be transported down to the starting point in Glasbury-on-Wye. Here our experienced staff will give you a short brief about the river and basic paddling techniques to see you through, before launching you and your boats on the water.
From Glasbury you will begin your adventure downstream towards your final destination Whitney-on-Wye. Along the way, you will encounter a few shallow rapids as well as a variety of local wildlife such as: ducks, swans, herons and fishermen :). Half way through your journey you will pass by Hay-on-Wye (the famous town of books) where, you can stop for a lovely pub lunch or have a picnic along the river bank. Once you arrive at your final destination, a member of our hire team will collect you and transport you and the equipment back to the canoe hire centre.
